EACH HANDMADE WREATH AN ORIGINAL!

For 45 years, "Christmas in Newport" activities have brightened the holidays here on Aquidneck Island. Nearly every day from December 1 through the New Year's Day, diverse activities showcase the wonder, joy and goodwill of the holiday season in Newport, RI.

Each year my friend Jennifer and I look forward to the Lucy’s Hearth Designer Wreath Sale, which happens this Saturday, December 5th from 9 am to Noon at the Rotunda at Newport's Easton’s Beach.  There's always a crowd, so it's a good idea to arrive early.  I guarantee you will see some friends, and it's a great way to kick off the season!

Little Compton: A brief intro

Little Compton is located at the southeastern tip of Rhode Island between the Sakonnet River and the Massachusetts state boundary line. 

It is the second smallest town in the smallest state! 

Little Compton is the ideal place to live if one wishes to experience that small town life style and rural tranquility. There is an increase in population as the summer draws near and many families have been summering here for generations. In fact many of the residents have ancestors dating centuries back. Driving through the back country roads there are many farms and stone walls surrounding vast open fields. A view of the Sakonnet River follows your travel along Main Road.

This Saturday from 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM  Eco-Depot will be collecting various household waste products, old paint cans and so-forth at Easton's Beach 175 Memorial Blvd. Newport.

This is a perfect opportunity for those selling their property, to dispose of these products prior to packing up!
